FEEDING THE CHILDREN

66% of Honduras lives below the poverty line. This extreme poverty is especially difficult for the children. Our first large feeding project began at the city dump of La Ceiba in 1991. It still continues to this day. Feeding a child 2 times per week can cost as little as $5/month

SAFE HOUSE FOR GIRLS

Honduras is a hub for human trafficking. It has been the murder capital of the world largely controlled by the drug cartels. This is why we need a safe place for girls to grow up until they become a productive part of society.

ADOPT A CHURCH/PASTOR

Connecting and building relationships within the body of Christ has always been the heartbeat of SOIL. Adoption is our way of giving American churches the opportunity to do good for their less fortunate brothers and sisters in Honduras. (Gal 6:10)

EMERGENCY MEDICAL FUND

Emergencies are even more difficult in one of the poorest countries in the world. SOIL ministries has over 20,000 people looking to them for help with family, dental, medical and surgical emergencies. With your help and faith, we can move these mountains

HONDURAN DEAF SCHOOL

Honduras is the second poorest country in our hemisphere. Consequently, deaf Hondurans have little access to education or employment. Our school for the deaf began with a pastor’s son who was born deaf. Today, that boy and his mother now run the deaf school filling new lives with hope and light

PROVIDING FRESH WATER

The United Nations considers fresh water as one of the most essential human rights. Unfortunately,, fresh water is not available in many areas of Honduras. Individual wells cost $3,000-$5,000, but a simple bucket filter can provide clean water for as little as $80-$120 per family. Your help can make a real difference.

ENGLISH AS A SECOND LANGUAGE

One in five Hondurans live on less than $2 per day. ESL classes are offered at local churches to improve both a Honduran’s ability to get a job, and to increase their salary. English can also help SOIL to secure them a visa to legally immigrate to the USA.

“I tell you, open your eyes and look at the fields! They are ripe for harvest.” John 4:35

SOIL (Serving Others In Love) is a 5-fold ministry to the country of Honduras which is the second poorest country in our hemisphere. It is the murder capital of the world and scores quite prominently in the sex trade. Because the country is primarily controlled by the drug cartels, it leaves a wake of broken lives in it’s path.

We want to live “alongside” the local people and share the Gospel by serving and helping provide their practical human needs including building Churches, Technical schools with various classes that teach real world trades/skills, training youth to be leaders, and bringing medical and dental doctors to serve and provide services to those in need.
