A message of Hope and Love

Jean Isbell founded the mission in Honduras in 1964. She was a single parent with three children without support of any established denomination. The original work was started on the southeast side of the island of Roatan, (Islas de la Bahia) in the village of Oak Ridge.

Sister Jean, as everyone called her, went to train a small group of ladies who were not aware of what the Bible had to say in regards to them and their families. She had no church or home to go to, and only $75/month to feed her family.  Her children took correspondence courses in order to fulfill the school requirements in the U.S. A. Her oldest son was 14 years old. Her two daughters were 12 and 10 years old.
